At Delta Timber and Landscape Supply, we provide very low moisture, small particle sawdust that is exceptionally absorbent in two different forms: Bailed Sawdust/Lost Circulation Material (LCM) and Absorption Sawdust.

Baled Sawdust/Lost Circulation Material (LCM)

Our baled LCM product is used in the oil and gas drilling industry and is described as follows:

  • Our product is screened fine sawdust from pine and spruce. It is carefully isolated to keep oversize product out of the system.
  • We compress approximately 5.5 cubic feet of loose product into a 3.1 cubic foot compressed bale in a poly bag that weighs generally between 40-45  pounds. 
  • We stack 20 bales to a pallet and stack them 2 pallets high, resulting in 40 bales per stack. We ship 24 or 26 stacks on a 48 foot flatbed (depending on destination and weight).
  • The pallets are stretch wrapped for stability and then a poly cover is put over it and stretch wrapped again.
  • Each stack of 2 pallets weigh a little over 1,700 pounds.

Absorption Sawdust

This product is provided in bulk quantities delivered to your well site or supply yard. The product consists of small particle sawdust that is low in moisture content, thus improving its' absorption characteristics. Truckload quantities are approximately 120 cubic yards and are delivered by live-floor trailers that unload in 15-20 minutes and in a concentrated pile.
